UNSW

UNSW Sydney (the University of New South Wales) is one of Australia's leading research and teaching universities. Established in 1949, the main campus is located in the Sydney suburb of Kensington, 4 km south-east of Sydney CBD. UNSW currently has over 62,000 students attending the university.

Within UNSW lies the birthplace of SWAQ - the CCRC (Climate Change Research Centre) - a multi-disciplinary research centre comprising one of the largest university research facilities of its kind in Australia. The CCRC houses research expertise in the key areas of Earth's climate: atmospheric, oceanic and terrestrial processes. We apply basic scientific principles to pressing questions on climate dynamics, global climate change, and extremes of weather and climate.
