Kurnell Public School
Kurnell Public School is the centre of a unique community situated on the Kurnell peninsula of Botany Bay (within the Sutherland Shire), 21 km south of the Sydney CBD. It is bordered on three sides by water and is in close proximity to the Cronulla sand dunes and Towra Point Nature Reserve. The school has approximately 200 students enrolled, most of which live within walking distance of the school. Kurnell is a metropolitan suburb but due to its isolation at the end of the peninsula is considered a village. Kurnell has an approximate population of 2,267 people.
